Yes she would wake up but cry for a few moments and fall back asleep but it was right as she was learning to crawl. Now its happening when she is trying to pull herself up to standing

I don't think there was any regression. To be fair, she gets up pretty often normally, so maybe there was nothing to regress to.

@lawbee11: Yes, I'm not sure what she has in store for us next, but I've gotten 4 hours of sleep in the past 2 nights. *Yawn*

@lawbee11: Yes! LO regressed majorly at every huge physical milestone. If it helps at all, the rocking back and forth now at 19 months is how he "rocks" himself to sleep. He does it for maybe 30 seconds before he lays his head down with his butt in the air sleeping on his knees.

@rahlyrah: Ugh...I'm never going to feel rested ever again, am I??

@Cherrybee: LOL. Why do our babies love to torture us?! I can't wait to wake her up by banging pots and pans in her room on the weekend when she's a teenager. I'm going to wake her at 3am and tell her I'm hungry go make me food!

Regress???? Regress? She has turned into a demon child! This learning to crawl malarky has been dragging on for weeks now! At every opportunity, she flips onto her front - frequently face-planting onto one of her toys - flails her arms and legs and cries. She even does it in her sleep! Over and over, I'm going in there, rescuing her from some ridiculous position or another, legs trapped between the bars, head squeezed into the corner. And the clapping - oh the clapping!! She lies there, crying, clapping. Ugh......

.... this 9 month sleep regression is no joke!

Yes! It didn't go back to normal until he had been crawling for a week or two. Even when he got it, he wanted to practice in his crib at night.

M is very close to crawling and starting on Sunday night her sleep has been worse than normal. She's been falling asleep fine, but she's been waking often for the past couple of nights with the first wakeup being around 8:30/9 which never happens. I can't even remember the last time before now that she woke so soon after going down for the night. We've been letting her CIO at each wakeup before 2am and she usually only cries for 5-10 minutes, but it's so sad!

She rocks back and forth on all fours in her crib while she cries...this is what leads me to believe maybe it has something to do with crawling? She's 8 1/2 months old.

Did your LO regress before learning to crawl? If so, did sleep go back to normal once he/she started crawling?
