She didn't like pears when we first tried them--she didn't push them away or gag but you could tell she was not excited, so we didn't push it. I read somewhere that babies have to eat something 14 times before developing an aversion to it but I don't believe it at all! We gave avocado to DS for his first food and he loved it. So I ended up mixing a lot of foods with breastmilk and the gagging stopped. She ate way more when I puréed her food with breastmilk rather than just trying to do pieces of steamed fruit/veggies. And he hates avocado. Which I'm super mad about because it's SO good for baby's developing brain and he needs all the extra yummy fat!! :):)</p> <p>So when I give it to him he makes a sour face, which is funny. But today (third time trying to feed it to him), he started gagging. I thought he was choking, but then with his next bite he gagged again, and again.
