LO has been sleeping in his bouncy seat. The inclined mattress wasn't quite enough for him.

We've dealt with it more than one and I'm sorry because it is no fun! We did a bit of an incline, but honestly what helped the most was having the window open and the humidifier on. It was cold, but we bundled LO up extra and he was fine. We also only had to do it for one night after a night in the ER getting treatments since it had gotten so bad that night. And the ER night I just held him, but as you know you can't keep up with sleeping like that.

@autumnlove: She starts the night on her crib mattress on the floor (floor bed), and I put a pillow on the mattress under her head and watch her on the monitor. Luckily, she doesn't move that much in her sleep, and we have long pillows so even if she rolls over she is still at an incline. When we go to bed, I'll lay her on a thinner pillow on our bed, so she's still at an incline but not as high.

When it's really bad, I do hold her in the rocker for as long as I'm able :/

Hope your LO feels better soon!

@autumnlove: Held her all night, too. :( It was just one night (the worst night when it peaked) after that she wanted to sleep in her bed again so no incline.

Yes. DS had croup last week and we kept him in the RNP in our room. It definitely seemed to help with drainage.

@yoursilverlining: in a RNP or do you stick something under her crib mattress? I just held her all night in the glider but I need to get some quality sleep tonight!

LO always sleeps on an incline when she has any sort of congestion, cough or cold. I think it helps!

DS had RSV last week and we slept on an incline. It seemed to help keep drainage at bay from his congestion. When he slept flat, all the drainage would cause him to cough all night long and even throw up in the mornings.
