Yes, she was old enough so she knew. We had a book about welcoming a baby into the family and she liked reading it a lot!

LO has been pretty sweet to my belly. I think it is because she gets more attention that way. One day she asked to kiss it goodbye before daycare. I couldn't help but gush about how sweet it was. The next day she asked to kiss my mole goodbye - less positive attention.

She has no clue what is coming. She thinks baby brother is my nephew and that he lives at auntie's house (that baby is her cousin's baby brother). She even calls him my nephew's name.

LO knows that there's a baby in Mommy's belly only, not his or Daddy's. He waves to my belly and says hi as well as giving kisses. I try to explain that the baby in Mommy's belly is why I'm slow to get up from sitting on the floor with him or walking fast with him and Daddy.

I think she knows something is up, but doesn't know what. She pounced on my belly the other day :bummed:

She talks about baby brother a lot, but I don't think she understands that one day he will come and live with us. I told her he was going to sleep in her old crib and she was pissed! It hasn't changed her behaviour towards me at all.

LO 1 didn't know what was up for LO 2. She was too young to care!

They both talk about the baby in my belly a lot.

My LO keeps telling me there is a baby in my tummy even though I haven't told her yet and I'm not showing at all yet!

pending arrival of baby #2? Too young to care or notice?

DS has never been a cuddler. He's definitely affectionate, but not a huge cuddle and sit/lay type. Lately he's been such a lovable, huggable, "lay with me umma" cuddler and I'm soaking up every minute!! (there are also days that are exhausting because only I can do things for him...)

He loves on my belly, says hi/kisses his baby bro, and feels kicks at least once a day. But, I'm not sure if he quite gets that a new babe will be coming to live with us in a few months! :)
