Yeah, when I look at videos from 7 months or so, it's clear that her personality was already pretty set. Curious, cheerful, determined and not interested in suffering fools.

Yes for DS - always a little more high maintenance than other kids! He needs me often (to talk him through boo-boo's, sad times, to rock him to sleep), he's bright and figures things out quickly, he likes to socialize and he never sleeps haha.

DD, was a bit more laid back as a baby than she is as an almost 3 year old. She's easier than her big brother was though. She had severe stranger danger as a baby and even now, she's not super outgoing. She always been observant and sits back, taking things in.

DD2 is sweet, social, loves other kids, gets into everything and is kind of free spirited. I'm wondering if she'll be the same as she gets older!

My daughter came out of the womb screaming in indignation, and then latched and nursed for hours. She's always been sure of exactly what she wants, and still is at 22 months. My new one is a little lamb, very calm when she was born and afterwards, so I am hoping that she'll stay that way!

So far yes for both!

DS was high maintenance and demanding from birth and still is at 4. DD has always been more easy going and laid back. They both been through a lot medically, DD more, and the way they handle it also goes with the way their personalities are.

Not really- as an infant she was very colicky, sensitive, always alert, hard to get to sleep, etc. but As a toddler she is much more chill and happy, but has a big temper and loses her shit easily, ha. She has and still has "fear of missing out".

Yes!! Once he became a toddler his behavior as an infant made much more sense. Physical, alert, wanting attention constantly, loud! Awesome kid but demanding from day 1!

DS - was a very high maintence baby. But right after he turned 1, it was like we had a new child. He was suddenly very easy, and, for the most part, he has remained incredibly easy (and he's 4!).

DD - was the sweetest little lamb of a baby until she turned 10 months. She suddenly had an opinion about things and has been a defiant, somewhat disobedient toddler (almost 18 months now). I'm sure most of that is normal behavior though, we were just spoiled with DS.

she has the exact same personality. as a newborn / infant, she was overall a happy, playfully, smiley, alert baby, but had a RIDICULOUS temper and rage when she was unhappy. exactly the same to this day as a 13 month old!

No! Ha. Well, to an extent. She was a chill pretty quiet baby. Usually liked to hang back and kinda check out the scene first. When she hit 12 months, she became a sassy pants, adventurous toddler. She's still that way at almost 2.5.

DD1 was such a silly, funny, vocal/verbal baby from the time she was a few months old. When I watch her old baby videos, I think, 'Oh my gosh, it makes so much sense that this is who she would become.' She's very much the same today, super silly, super verbal.
DD2's personality has taken longer to emerge, so I'm interested to see what she's like in a year or two!

DS is 8.5 months old. He was a colicky reflux baby so he was a screaming angry mess the first few months, but is a very happy baby now, as long as we stick to his routine.

His personality outside the colic has been the same. He is a smart and stubborn little guy. He is very physical and likes to stretch and move all. the. time. Even as a newborn he hated swaddling, hated feeling confined in the rock n' play, took his crib from day 1, and could thump around for hours in there. As a result, he's always hit his physical milestones early.

He is gets bored by things very quickly, but while he's into it, he's super focused and gets tunnel-visiony about it. For instance, as a newborn he would be transfixed by a certain shadow on the wall and you couldn't snap him out of it. Milk dribbling everywhere, just mesmerized. Now he'll be SUPER into a book - can't hear you, wont make eye contact, furrowed brow, laser focused - but then all of the sudden he will fling it to the floor bc he's just done with it. And move on.

He's not cuddly, but likes to have you nearby, even if he's ignoring you for the most part. He has no fear and flings himself into whatever. He loves water. Not into food/milk - he's definitely an eat to live kinda person.

Because of his distraction he needs a rigid routine and needed sleep training - otherwise he never shuts off and just gets hysterical. So we put a huge priority on his schedule and sleep. I think as he gets older, he'll probably continue to need that kind of predictable schedule but I hope he gets cuddlier!

In the main, yes. She has always been intense and fiercely independent. She has always loved people and new experiences, and needs lots of stimulation. The difference though is that she's a happy little gem now but she was such a miserable baby, such sads.

Not counting the first 4 months, so far yes. She was colicky and difficult and never happy for those months, but ever since she outgrew that she's been quite a chill, happy, snuggly baby. Now getting close to two, she's opinionated for sure but just as snuggly.

He was a super alert, always moving baby. Even as a newborn. He didn't like to be held or restrained. Very physical.
He's a very active toddler, totally obsessed with mastering every sport, bike, scooter.
