She helped me pick my dress, helped me with the cake tasting and style, helped with the food tasting, hired a musician to play as I walked down the aisle, and I actually gave her free reign with the flowers. It's just not fun for her. Her mom planned her whole wedding, she just had to show up. I knew exactly what I wanted for my wedding for the most part, and didn't even think to include her in most of it, which she was fine with.</p> <p>She did go dress shopping with me- I only had to go to one store and it was the 3rd dress I tried on, so that was easy. I also needed her for flowers because my husband didn't care about that. And she was a major help with favors- we baked cookies. We also took both our parents to the venue before we signed the contract just to make sure we were doing the right thing. </p>
