I had a wonderful 5 weeks with my Mom. I loved loved loved having her here with me, she was so helpful. I think my Mom is the reason my daughter didn't have jealousy issues with the new baby...

My MIL stayed with us for two weeks. It was so nice because she cleaned for us and cooked such good meals! My mom was going to come after that but some things happened to where it didn't happen.

My mom came the day after we got home from the hospital and stayed for four nights. It was nice to have an extra set of hands to cook/clean/hold the baby. And it was also great to be able to ask her questions. But I was ready for her to go when she did. It's nice to have time just me, my husband, and the baby.

My mom stayed about 10 days PP. I originally wasn't sure about her coming and staying with us, but since my husband had to go back to work immediately (we were discharged Saturday, he went to work Monday). It was really nice and I was sad to see her go.

YES!! Only for a week - but it was so great. She is very low key and helped out when she could with the baby and cooked us awesome dinners every night. DH had to work so it was great having her the first week home!

My Mom is coming the first week of March, my due date is the 19th. She'll be staying in the USA through the Summer (my Dad is joining her in May), but they won't be with us that whole time.
I think she'll be with us until May?

My mom wants to, but we aren't having house guests for the first couple weeks since my husband will be home, too. She and my dad will be staying in a hotel. So they'll be over, but not staying the night. She is coming up for a week when DH leaves for some military training, though. I love my mom, but she'd drive me batshit crazy if she lived with me for two solid weeks. DH is very adamant about doing all this new baby stuff with me, which I love.

My mom came from across the country for a month, and my dad for 2 weeks. It was the best thing ever! Amazing food, kitchen was always clean, and she would take care of him from 9pm-midnight every night so I could get some sleep before the night began:)

My Mom lives about an hour and a half away. When we went to the hospital she came up and stayed at our house for two nights while we we're having the baby - she cleaned my whole house, did all our laundry and babysat the dogs.

Now she spends every Wednesday night - DH is in a pitch league so she keeps me company that night, brings dinner, does all our laundry and cleans. Today she babysat LO so we could go in our first "date." I call her the " grandma fairy." I thought we'd want family bonding time, but I'm so grateful for her help!!

My mom went with me to the hospital both times! She stayed until after the kids were born. In my DD's case she stayed with me overnight both nights because my DH had to go home to be with DS.
She lives about 1/2 hour away so I see her fairly often. And sometimes I take the kids to visit her at work which is 20 mins away from my house.
She is the best mom ever!

Yes. Mine came the day I went to the hospital and stayed at my house. She took care of all the pets, cleaned it all up, and got us everything we needed and didn't have. We were gone almost a week between my three day labor and then long recovery. Then my baby was in the nicu so we just stayed. It was so nice to not have to wrangle dog walking and to come home to everything all perfect.

She stayed for a week. DH was really nervous because my mom is crazy and usually we don't get along but I insisted. I can't imagine her not being there. I had all my favorite meals home cooked and my bed was made everyday and she did the laundry. It was so nice to have someone doing all of that so I could bond with my new baby.

I wish she could have stayed longer too!

Nope, DH and I don't have any spare space in our house, she's allergic to our dogs and we're pretty independent from our parents. We wanted to figure things out as much as we could on our own and then ask questions/ask for help when we needed it. It was different that DH was home with J longer than I was though since he was on summer break from school.

No, I wanted time to bond with LO and my husband the first week. The grandparents came up to visit on weekends and then my mom came one day during the second week so I could do some errands, but other than that we were on our own! I think if we had an extra bedroom and more space in our house, we may have considered allowing guests to stay over.

She came up the night LO was born. I was kinda surprised my DH seemed like he wanted her there, I was only half way into the idea. But it was really helpful. She stayed while I was in the hospital and watched the pups and then I think 2 nights after we got home. I thought I'd want family bonding time but I was soooooo tired. It was really nice to go and hand her to my mom in the early morning and just fall back to sleep next to DH.
