My husband has a very common name, my name is very old fashioned- like all I hear is, "oh, that is my grandmother's name" So we went for middle ground, farther up on the top 100 list. I wanted DS to have a unique name but not one that he would constantly be questioned about for pronunciation and spelling. As a result, I felt very strongly that LO have a common name, with an easy spelling and pronunciation. Did your name influence your name choice for LO? If you were the opposite of me, common name, easy spelling, etc. did you gravitate toward more unique names?
