Yes, we used to have to wake her up at 3 weeks to feed her. We then got the okay to let her sleep and she was sleeping 7-8 hours by 4 weeks and she's now up to at least 10 a night at 12 weeks!

Yes, she did a few 5 hour stretches around 5-6 weeks! It made me nervous! She started sleeping 8-10 hours at 8 weeks.

@MamaMoose: yup that's what I did, in the hopes of getting more of those long stretches (although I found that my full boobs would wake me up before LO woke up and then I'd lie in bed thinking, "Should I pump/hand express so I can go back to sleep? But he's probably going to wake up any minute...." And then I'd lie awake for like an hour going back and forth, lol. Not very restful!)

That is great! My daughter had a few of those random STTN experiences but then something would change. Enjoy it while it lasts!

@hilsy85: exactly, I feel like I'm constantly worried ( did she sleep too much? Too little? Did she eat too much or too little?)! But our ped said the same thing that after my supply was established at 3 weeks there was no reason to wake her up at night any more. I do still wake her up to eat every 3 hours during the day.

Yup! He started doing 5 hour stretches really early on (like 3 weeks). At first I was waking him up after 4 hours because I was nervous, but the pedi said let him sleep as long as he wants at night (assuming there's no weight gain issues). His first 8 hour stretch also made me really nervous! That was right around 6 weeks. We mamas can't win--we worry when they sleep too little and when they sleep too much, lol. BUt enjoy it! Hopefully it becomes a regular thing for you soon.

My daughter will be 5 weeks old on Monday and last night she slept from 10pm to 6:45am!! I woke up a couple times during that stretch panicked that something was wrong but she was just snoozing away. She did do terrible with napping yesterday so I guess she was just exhausted from that. I don't know if you are supposed to let them sleep so long at this age but man it felt awesome to get so much sleep. And she woke up super happy and just did a marathon nursing session for 50 minutes.
