He is the oldest of 3 boys, but he thinks the middle child is his dad's favorite, and the youngest is his mom's favorite. I think we are all favored in different ways. My older sister cause she was successful in school, never caused any trouble, married her highschool sweetheart and she also gets bonus points for giving my parents two grandkids fairly early on. My younger sister is most defiantly my parents baby. As much as they gripe about her living at home and everything they love having someone to look after. Where I am very much like my mother so we get along really well but butt heads alot. I think my father has a harder time understanding me but works really hard at it. I think now I might be my mom's favorite....we've always been very similar (which made us butt heads really bad growing up) but now it works out perfectly.</p> <p>I will say my paternal grandmother clearly had a favorite (my older sister) and we all knew/know it and still joke about it. It was always what M wanted no matter what. I was her least favorite, I was clumsy and broke stuff all the time. Now I think he was just "easier" for them - outgoing, athletic, popular, and always my mom's "baby." I was really introverted, sullen, and mentally ill, which my parents were in denial about. Also, I generally listened to my parents. My brother was a favorite because he was the youngest boy but he also had bad grades and got in trouble a lot (had some run-ins with the law, too). He still got away with a lot of stuff that I wouldn't have. </p> <p>Now that we are older, my brother is now the favorite. He is still the baby and will listen and try to help my parents. My sisters and I are fed up with my parents (mainly my dad) and we've voiced our opinions. So that does not sit well with them. </p>
