Luckily our OB is open on Saturdays so we were able to schedule appointments for when he would be able to join. The only one after that we're planning on him coming to is the 20-week sonogram. We aren't finding out the sex, but this is the first grandchild on both sides, so he, his mother, my mom, &amp; my gma are all coming. My doctor's office is in our home town, but my husband works almost an hour away, so it would be hard for him to be able to make it to them. We actually schedule them around his work schedule because he wants to be there to hear the heartbeat and ask questions as well. Again, its our first and came after 2 years of trying. I think he also got used to attending dr. appts. with me after so many trips to our RE while we were trying! He works, and often travels, so he wasn't able to attend much. But like Blushink, it was a super long wait for maybe a 3 minute appointment. You weighed, peed, heard the heartbeat, asked any questions, sometimes measured fundal height and bam!
