But the other day I was at a GP's on an entirely unrelated matter (ongoing/lingering symptoms from food poisoning) and the doctor would NOT drop the Tdap despite me saying (truthfully) I had received it within the window she wanted me to have had it in. (I know because I got it when I was 18 right before I went to college.) Our ped is from India and has seen horrible, horrible things. She says if we have the opportunity to prevent disease, why not take advantage of that! I am immune, but if I wasn't I know she would have pushed me to get shots, which I appreciate! It was sort of in the same list of questions about whether LO had any exposure to second hand smoke in the home, etc. "Do you smoke?" "Did you recently get the TDap?"
