My DH and I both had baby fever right after Ethan was born - he's 4 months now; if it was up to DH I'd probably be pregnant already, but I am hoping to wait until May/June so we have at least 15 months between.
DH likes to tell people that when we win the lottery we'll be having 10 kids. lol. I *think he's good at 2 but we'll see what he says after #2 is born!

Yes he was totally ready to TTC #2 before I was. I think it's because his mum popped out 7 kids in 7 years so in his family it was the norm to get pregnant again very quickly. But I get very bad morning sickness so it takes me a bit of time to be prepared to put myself through that all over again.

@sorrycharlie: Same. He decided one was plenty. But he's come around.

Haha no, it did the opposite! He decided he only wanted one. He eventually changed his mind and we have our second, but he no longer wants 3 like we had originally agreed on..

Haha oh no definitely not!! If anything having our first and second (even though he adored them!) made him rethink his ideal family size.

@pui: YES. I never had baby fever at all (still don't have it, honestly, and I am pregnant), but as soon as LO #1 was like, 3 months, my husband was allllllllll about having another ASAP. I wanted 3 years between them. Our compromise is that we planned a 2 year gap, which is what we're having.

On the same theme, before I was ever pregnant (and before I knew what a terrible preggo I am), I always said I wanted 3 kids and DH wanted only 2. Well now, I am feeling 98% 2 and Through, and DH is *already* talking about having a 3rd! He's going to get a punch to the face if he keeps talking about it while I am having this terrible MS. :silly:

We were both ready sooner. After #1 and again after #2.
DD2 is almost three months and we both agreed that we're ready for #3. We're going to wait a while for my body to get stronger but we'll TTC by year end.

My husband was in no hurry to have the first kid, but now she's only 7 months and he's already talking non stop about having the next one!! He even says he wants 5 kids now (which is what I originally wanted but we compromised on 3 maybe 4) and that he wishes we'd have twins (which I'd definitely prefer not to happen lol).

While I want to officially start TTC in September, we're technically NTNP right now, so maybe his wish will come true. I doubt it though since I have PCOS and it took a year to conceive DD.

Did your SO suddenly get way more keen on growing your family after having your first LO?
