Someone has go w with me to all my appointments this 2nd tie around. My mom went the first, my BFF the second, and DH the third. Last pregnancy, the one appointment I went to by myself (our 20 week scan), we found out we lost our baby. So, this time, someone is always going with me.

He has gone to all but one. He asks the quirkiest questions...like, "Can you tell if the baby will be right or left handed?" (When we saw our LO sucking his thumb on the ultrasound.)

He always manages to stump the OB, heh!

My DH went to all of the u/s appointments but doesn't come to my regular prenatal visits. I usually schedule them during the day and its harder for him to take time off work than it is for me. Come July and August (due date Aug.14) he will be coming since he's a teacher and has summers off. It doesn't bother me in the slightest that he doesn't come to the regular appointments though. Not much happens at them anyways.

Nope and it doesn't bother me. He is in the middle of seeding which is stress enough without me adding more things for him to fit it. He came to the first u/s of our first and my only OB appointment (I was with a midwife but needed a check up with an OB at one point). The only thing that matters to me is that he is there for the birth.

I had DH come with me to the first appt. and the 12 week u/s appt. I always ask specifically what each appt. entails and if there is an ultrasound, I want him to be there. I don't make him come to the regular check up or testing appts. - no need for him to take time off work for that (in my opinion). For the 16 week, I knew the u/s was going to be just a few minutes, so I told him he didn't have to take time off for that one either. But I think for the 20 week anatomy scan, every "Daddy" should go and experience that special one!

DH has gone to almost every prenatal appointment. We spend at least half an hour talking with the midwives. Half the time he has more questions/concerns than I do, so it's definitely worth having him there. :)

My husband came with me to 99% of my appts with both of my boys. I felt lucky b/c he was there the whole way. Sometimes he got annoying being the extra super cautious person that he is; but I know he comes from a good place though. Plus, it really helped that there was someone else there to watch my oldest when I was pregnant with #2. Although, one time he really couldn't come and my oldest was so well behaved during a pelvic exam in my third trimester. He did leave his chair once to almost go peek...eeek! I gently told him to go sit back down. :P

He's been to both of my ultrasounds, but that's it. For the OB, it's just the weight, pee, blood pressure any questions stuff, so there is no reason for him to get out of work for that. DH is in a comission paid sales position, so every second he's not at work is money for us. I'd rather have him at work tending to his clients than waiting around with a bunch of pregnant ladies for me to pee in a cup.

I generally go by myself or with my best friend. I think he's been to one appointment and two ultrasounds. There's no real need for him to come, and it's a pain for him to get the time off of work.

He came to the first appointment with me and will come to the second one tomorrow (we will hopefully get to hear the heartbeat then!) But moving forward we've agreed that if there's something exciting happening he will come and otherwise I'll go on my own. I don't think I need him to be there when all that's happening is me peeing in a cup and getting my bp taken!

We're not pregnant yet, but DH has made it very clear that he wants to be a part of the entire process with me. We are looking at drs in my hospital chain that are near our home versus my work (where I see my current ob/gyn) and plan on having DH coming with me to every appt. :)

DH came to my first ultrasound appointment but hasn't come to any others. The u/s aren't done at my doctor's office so there's been no need for him to come to my standard appointments.

I am extremely disappointed though that he's going to miss the 13 week NT scan. I just found out today that he's going to be out of town for work that day and I am absolutely gutted. We are going to try to change the appointment but because I'm out of town until just before the appt and the NT scan has to be done within certain time frames, I don't think that's going to work.

Given our extreme level of disappointment at his missing this appointment, I'm pretty sure he will do everything he can to be at our 20 week scan.

Most of mine have been the -pee in a cup, measure, blood pressure, weight, out in 15 minutes appointments. Definitely not worth it for both of us to be out of work for that, IMO.
But DH has been to every ultrasound except the first one. Silly me thought you wouldn't be able to see anything at 8 weeks. I saw the heartbeat & little gummy bear body, was sad DH missed that but it was my fault.

My husband goes when he can. He has made sure to be there for the biggie appointments and if there are any concerns. Like your Dr, all ultrasound is done outside of their office, so the most he has missed is the doppler. As long as he gets an everything is ok text afterwards we are both happy.

My husband tries to come with to all of my appointments but unless we are doing an ultrasound, he is not allowed into the inner office area. It seems to be common practice here in Japan for the doctors to only deal with the mothers....we rarely see other husbands in the main waiting area. So, even though he can't always come into the actual appointment, hubby always comes with me.
