My DD is 2y3mo and has basically stopped napping. She has always been an awesome night sleeper though and was a good napped until 22mos. We put her in her crib for nap time every day though anyway and she just sings and plays happily. I have no plans to stop. We do a super early bedtime (like 6:30) and she sleeps ~13 hours at night. Since we’re stuck at home I love this schedule since I still get a break during the day but she goes to bed early. When I was commuting this bedtime would have sucked but now it’s fine.

My kid stopped napping around 2.5. It sucked. He’s always been a terrible sleeper over all. He takes after his dad. I’m high sleep needs so I value my time when he’s with his dad!!

Both of my kids sleep low sleep needs, and it sucks. My son only ever napped for max 90 min after about 18 months, and dropped it completely a couple weeks before age 3. My daughter is 2y4m and only needs mayyyybbbbbeeee an hour, most of the time it's just a car nap.

They both have a lot of trouble falling asleep at night, too, despite all the recommendations. So we use melatonin and it's been a lifesaver. 1mg nightly for my 4 year old and just started the 2yr old on .5mg.

I’m waiting for her to fall asleep so I have a lot of free time here ... 😬

LO3 is 22 months and I already feel like she doesn’t need a nap every day. She doesn’t seem to have high sleep needs and she’s probably also wanting to be up with the big kids, but I NEED this nap from her especially if school is part time in the fall for the big kids.

Last night she fell asleep around 9pm after bedtime around 8pm ... was rocking and rolling in the crib until then. (She had napped about 12-2 yesterday.) She has been teething and ended up in our bed around 5 and up by 7. Tried nap at 12ish today ... it’s 1:40 here and she’s been singing and dancing and playing the whole time (in the crib at least!). I’ll probably just get her up soon because if she sleeps much past 2 she wants to go to bed even later.

Is there any hope this is just a phase? Should I never let her sleep more than an hour? I miss my oldest who napped amazingly!

Plan to keep up crib time for a while regardless of actual sleeping. Being home full time with her siblings (5 and 8) for months I think she’s just decided she’s big too!
