I was 0cm four days before my scheduled C. Thought i was in the clear. The night before surgery (39+3) my water broke and I went to the hospital... they decided to have me wait until AM surgery time. Sometime between last appt and getting to the hospital i had dilated from 0 to 4!! they had me wait until my scheduled time (about 7 hrs) and it was not fun but manageable. Sidenote: my dr wasn't on call :( things might have been better if she was!</p> <p>I wish he had just waited a littttttle longer but all turned out well. The funny thing is we'd tried to schedule a day earlier originally but the OR was booked. My c-section is scheduled for 39 w 2 d and I am hoping I make it that long. With baby #1, I had to be induced because my body made absolutely zero progress at 40 weeks. I went in at dilated to a big fat 0. This time, I am dilated to a 1 and 60% effaced at 35 w 5 days.
