Interesting, so maybe there isn't really a theory behind it!

My first hit all of his big milestones 6 weeks earlier than my second. Sitting up, crawling, walking, getting teeth, talking...DS did first. But DD has been more independent, she also jumped sooner and walked up and down the stairs about 3 months before DS could.

Dd#2 hit all the milestones later than dd#1. But then again dd#1 was pretty early on all the milestones.

DD2 did walk way earlier than DD1, at 10 months. She seems to be maturing a lot quicker and I often think of her as 2 year old, but she is only 17 months.

Hmmm...

#1 (DD) sat up sooner, started pulling up on things sooner, and spoke sooner.

#2 (DS) crawled and climbed up on things sooner. Mastered going up and down the stairs sooner too.

They walked at exactly the same time! 13.5 months. This was one that I thought for sure #2 would edge out #1, but nope.

DD2 so far has hit most milestones later than DD1. But, she also spent the first four months of her life crying all day and all night. :(

Mine did! DD crawled at 9 months and DS#1 crawled much earlier (to my chagrin). DS#1 also spoke more and clearer than DD, which I thought would be the opposite. I figured because he is a boy and second he would take so long to speak, but I was so wrong!

Or did they hit them later, or about the same time? I just wonder if them seeing their siblings do things helps encourage them. E has already rolled a good month or two before A did. She seems to be stronger overall though, as she is a bit bigger than A was.
