We throw a big annual Christmas party every year with about 50+ friends and family. We were having our anatomy scan the week before, so did a reveal at the party. I don't think I would have had another party. I wouldn't be comfortable having a gender reveal party-- seems like too much of a fuss for something that really only matters to DH and me (that's how I would feel, not necessarily how others would feel!). And I wouldn't want to lie to people about not knowing for sure. One, I'm a terrible liar and would definitely give it away by accident, but two, I'd feel so guilty keeping it from people. We are asked constantly every day by people what the gender is and every time we say "I don't know" people have a confused/frustrated look on their faces. It felt really good on vacation this past week to tell everyone who asked, since we knew we would never see them again. But now I'm back to keeping it a secret and in less than 48 hours I've already been asked 15 times! </p>
