Pre pregnancy I had several cups of coffee a day. I will continue to do so while nursing. Same with this pregnancy. I love hot tea in the morning. Coffee made me nauseous during pregnancy but tea was super soothing. In the summer I drank 1 iced tea a day with extra ice. I've heard that a cup of regular coffee is still within the daily limits, and I have no qualms with decaf if I really wanted to taste of coffee. Lately at our weekly coffee runs I've just been ordering milk (hot or iced) with a shot of whatever flavor I'm in the mood for (vanilla, caramel, toffee nut, etc.). And during breastfeeding, yes, normal. I haven't noticed any effect of caffeine on my babe. I have heard what @livsmama mentioned... decaf is worse because of the chemicals, but more in the vein that this could be an irritant for my baby, which it hasn't been.
