I'm honestly not terrible at math and did well on it on SAT/GRE but I have had anxiety about it for as long as I can remember. I get so flustered when I have to do any math on the spot (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division included). I really panic when calculating a tip. My mind absolutely blanks and I usually pick a random number. Math ever since the 4th grade gave me intense anxiety. Once I understood it, I had a fear that I hadn't really grasped it and would fail miserably! I had to take Algebra twice in high school, which is so embarrasing!! Still do have anxiety over it sometimes! Talk about over analyzing something. I'd get all flustered and start to sweat while I tried to figure it out. This didn't bode well for me on the SATs...I was a sweaty, anxious mess during the math portion, especially since there was a time limit, and I didn't do well on that section at all.
