The only time she doesn't spit up after a feed is when I nurse her to sleep. When she's awake she eats until she can't possibly hold anymore in and then out it comes. My doctor said she's just an excited eater. A lactation consultant advised us to give him a pacifier for just a few minutes after feeding and it really helped keep everything down. FWIW, he was never interested in the paci and would spit it out after about 5 minutes and then completely refused one around 5 months. Now I have a 2 week old (EBF) that spits up milk right after nursing. I hold him upright after feeding for at least 10 minutes, usually longer, and don't move him around much after feeding which seems to help. I feel like he just goes nuts at the boob and eats more than his little tummy can handle but I don't want to stop him. The babies I have known who spit up have done it at any time, not just after eating. I was just wondering if anyone had a baby that outgrew this, or if you did anything that seemed to help? </p>
