Yes my 3.5 month old spits up all day long. The only time she doesn't spit up after a feed is when I nurse her to sleep. When she's awake she eats until she can't possibly hold anymore in and then out it comes. My doctor said she's just an excited eater. The constant clothing changes for both her and I, not to mention the daily wipe downs of couches and floors is driving me bonkers!

My son spit up a ton after nursing. A lactation consultant advised us to give him a pacifier for just a few minutes after feeding and it really helped keep everything down. FWIW, he was never interested in the paci and would spit it out after about 5 minutes and then completely refused one around 5 months. The spit up was mostly gone by then too.

C is 5 months old, and we go through 657 bibs a day (and sometimes multiple outfits). He's always been a happy spitter!

Yes, DD spit up all the time. It got worse around 2 months, then got better. One day I had to change shirts 5 times in under 4 hours.

My first DS never spit up. Now I have a 2 week old (EBF) that spits up milk right after nursing. I hold him upright after feeding for at least 10 minutes, usually longer, and don't move him around much after feeding which seems to help. I feel like he just goes nuts at the boob and eats more than his little tummy can handle but I don't want to stop him. The babies I have known who spit up have done it at any time, not just after eating. I was just wondering if anyone had a baby that outgrew this, or if you did anything that seemed to help?
