I had to leave for a doctors appointment before the polling places opened and then I had to go straight to the hospital so I could have my hysteroscopy (which got delayed by over an hour and a half) so by the time we got back to the city we live in it was past the time that polls closed. If my surgery hadn't been delayed we would have made it. I live in pretty densely populated town with lots of hot button issues, a range of demographics, crumbling infrastructure and super high property taxes. So unlike elections in other places I've lived...I feel like my vote actually matters here.
