Ours has behavior issues related to screen time. The more she has, the worse she gets. Plus we've figured out that open ended stuff (like playing on apps) usually results in worse behavior than watching a show that has a distinct start and finish.

I think it may be related to anxiety. When we were visiting family, we told our 4.5 year old 3 days in advance that DH and I would be going out to dinner by ourselves, and she would be at home with my mom. Well, during those three days she would have these awful outbursts, followed by, "i want to come with you to dinner!"

They like to push and test around this age, unfortunately.

@yoursilverlining: she hasn't been back to school yet and this behavior has picked up since we started talking about going back to school in a few weeks. I'm wondering if anxiety has something to do with it?

bumping for you, but also: are the behavior issues present at school or other other caregivers? Maybe she is testing with you (?)

I know we have touched on this before here, but I would like to get opinions on it again. My almost 4 year old has had some behavior issues lately, and we are trying to pinpoint triggers. I know it may be far fetched, but I'm wondering if her diet has a little to do with any of it. She always has constipation issues, so it made me think it could be a possibility. I'm not sure where to start to see though. We have tried eliminating red dye before but we didn't stick with it long enough. Any thoughts for me?
