@Sweet T: I never heard that... But, as long as you are replenishing your water and calorie intake, you should be just fine.

@LovelyPlum: thanks! I ended up losing towards the end of my pregnancy and I've been fortunate that the rest came off easily. Just wishing it was easier at this point! :)

@sarac: I've been using the livestrong app and it's recommendation for me is 1762 calories/day. I usually don't even come close to that. I'm trying not to restrict myself. I'm mostly hoping to day healthier so my supply won't suffer. I'll be bummed if I'm stuck at this weight until I wean!

@BabyBoecksMom: I thought insanity was a no-no while BFing?! Maybe I misheard though. I really want to do that if it's not.

I did insanity and bootcamp 4 days a week, starting when I was around 8 weeks pp. I didn't really lose the extra weight until I weaned. I did have to use More Milk Plus to keep my supply up, but I always had a low supply.

If you're not losing, I'd suggest a moderate calorie restriction. And not moderate by someone else's count - I'd suggest counting what you eat over a week or so, and then try cutting that back by 200 calories. This may be far more than 2000 calories, and that's ok.

I tried and tried to lose (the 10 pounds I put on breastfeeding in the first place!) while I was still frequently breastfeeding, with little luck. In retrospect, I realize that cutting back to even 2000 calories was too little. If I'd tried 2300 or something like that, I think I could have slowly lost without feeling like I was going to pass out all the time. Instead, I've just had to wait until my daughter is almost weaned and my own calorie needs dropped. Don't be like me!

I could never really exercise and I REALLY couldn't alter my diet or my supply plummets. Baby is 9.5 months and I swim, walk, and do yoga, but I still eat like a 12-yo boy. Still losing weight, too, so I have not been motivated to change my habits.

I'm almost 9'weeks PP and have been walking/jogging for 8 days now. I've also been incorporating some other exercises but walking and jogging is the most consistent thing I'm doing. I'm 24lbs under prepregnancy weight but I think I'm hitting a wall. My diet could be better. I've been watching my portions and snacks but haven't been eating as healthy as I should. I'm not eating much junk food though. My supply has been good so far but I've been worried about working out too much. I don't want my supply to be affected.

So, what does your diet and exercise routine look like? Feel free to post menus, recipes, workout schedules, anything!
