I'm only 9 weeks into number 2, but so far my m/s has been way worse, gagging and dry retching multiple times a day, yakking a few times a week. food aversions - to ANY food. morning sickness started significantly earlier this time - week 4 instead of 7. number 1 i had mild morning sickness, only threw up twice and hardly any food aversions.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I'm just behind you at 11w3d!

1st - practically no morning sickness, just a few food aversions, lots of fatigue. After the first trimester was over it was smooth sailing. Started noticeably showing around 5.5 months. As for weight, I lost about 5lbs the 1st tri then gained 29.

2nd - so far I have felt much worse with MS but haven't been puking. Many food aversions, some fatigue but not as bad as the first time. I'm definitely down in weight for now, but I don't weigh myself so I don't know by how much. I feel like I have a bump at night. During the day, I don't look pregnant at all and clothes still fit the same, but by the end of the evening my belly is a little round and it is gone again by morning.

First appointment is this week, so I feel like that will finally be a starting point from which to reference

1- gained weight at every appointment, had to take rings off at 9 wks, swollen, tired, looked bad, high blood pressure, didn't show much, abnormal quad screen results, felt no movement, ended at 20 wks because there was no heartbeat.

2- have lost 4 lbs since first appointment, blood pressure normal (even lower than usual), look great (multiple people tell me my color looks so much better this time), no swelling so far, felt movement at 17 weeks, now at 19 weeks DH felt kicks, normal quad screen results, obvious pregnant belly.

We go back on Tuesday and I'm just praying everything looks great. It's definitely been a different pregnancy!

@Rainbow Sprinkles: girl! That's awesome! Are you still doing 30ds or is that too much ab work?

I'm not pregnant yet but I hope for no MS, to workout more (I slacked last time due to paranoia) and hopefully not to be overdue.

Let's see..

G:
HORRIBLE ms with LOTS of n/v
gained about 70lb ALL over (I felt like the Michelin man)
Don't recall alot of fatigue (I was also 19 so that MIGHT have had something to do with that)
No problems in pregnancy
Aversions to smell - teriyaki primarily

P:
No vomiting, just a few weeks of nausea
MAJOR sound aversions (I could hear DH bite his nails while he was UPSTAIRS.. no joke)
major fatigue
No sciatica nerve pain really but did have pgp from a slip in the grocery store
Gained about 55lb looked more mostly belly (atleast I didn't look all blown up anyways)
no other pregnancy issues

How were your first and second pregnancies different?

For me, they've been night and day from each other.

-surprisingly, I'm showing less with #2 then I did with #1. I'm 14 weeks now and looked more pregnant at this point last time!
-I haven't gained a lb yet. Last time, I was up 8 lbs by now.
-no morning sickness or nausea this time around.
-no fatigue this time around.

The only similarity between the two is high blood pressure by week 12 (ugh!!).

What about you?
