@bloved: I buy it from my dog walker who is technically a "direct seller" but she gives me her discount bc she just does it to get the product not to make money!

@bloved: I guess kind of "direct sales" but with Young Living, there's no annual fee to be a member. Once you purchase the starter kit, which comes with 10 different essential oils and a diffuser, you are able to get all of the oils at their wholesale discount!

@bloved: I buy from plant therapy also. I don't really want to pay for an MLM, plus they have an awesome Facebook community with aromatherapists who answer your questions. Plant therapy is all about education and research and they are pretty inexpensive. They are constantly running sales (which you can find out through their Facebook group and newsletter. ) Their products are great quality.

@simplyfelicity: oh thanks for the chart!

So, maybe silly question, but do most of you
Buy from a direct sales company? Or whole foods? I actually don't know anyone that does the direct sales so just wondering where I should buy. I also know I've seen a lot of debate about what brands are really "pure".

@LuLu Mom: I have been starting to experiment with EO's for about a year now. We live by doTerra's breathe blend in the winter. Its amazing. I turn it on in K's room about 30 mins before putting her to bed along with a humidifier and shut the door - I swear you can instantly breathe better the minute you walk in. Plus its not too expensive ($20ish per bottle). I love to diffuse Serenity (another blend) and Lavender in my own room. I have used Lavender in K's room as well. It definitely makes me feel more relaxed. I am not diffusing anything in our house right now bc I have a 4w old (and K is not congested at all) but I cant wait to start back up once E is 3 mos!

@simplyfelicity: Thanks for these images - super helpful!

@Mamaof2: Yes! I have a view - the sleepy time one and the tummy one. My daughter loves the sleep one and I use it often to settle her down. The tummy one I've yet to use with my kids but my dad actually tried it and it worked well for him.

I only use Young Living Essential Oils, and I feel very passionately about the quality, and that it stands above any other brand out there!

I love lavender! Young Living also has a few other awesome blends, there's one called Peace and Calming, and Peace and Calming II, There's also another one that I love called Gentle Babies which smells absolutely amazing and is designed for LO's. Other then that another favorite of mine is Cedarwood, and any citrus oils!

Please feel free to ask me any questions! I will try my best to help/answer! :-)

We love the Plant Therapy Kid Safe line over here, too! My son especially benefits from Calming the Child - sometimes I'll have him play in his room on a tough day and diffuse it in there and he's a new kiddo.

I've just started to dip my toe into EOs and bought a diffuser for my 3 year old's room. She uses it as a nightlight (it changes colors) and I've started diffusing a drop of lavender at night to help her sleep. I want to mix it up, what are some other things you diffuse around your kids/in your kid's room? I'm a very cautious EO user since I know they can be so powerful!
