The doctor also highly recommends vicks on her feet. If you are comfortable with the recommendation, I would give it. She has been coughing a lot the past week which is why I took her in and the doctor said to give her Dimetapp Cold and Allergy twice a day. I had thought you weren't supposed to give cold medicine to anyone under two. My doctor is generally very conservative about medicine so I just went with it and was going to ask my husband when I got home what he thought. So, is it okay to give her the medicine? She was coughing really bad this afternoon so I went ahead and gave her a dose because she sounds like she is getting a lot worse. What should I do? Should I trust my doctor or should I call back in the morning and ask for another treatment plan. I really do love and trust my doctor so I would hate to offend her if the dosage she gave me is okay (she went by her weight). Thanks! </p>
