@travelgirl1: yum! Love roasted tomatoes!

@petitenoisette: smitten kitchen is my go-to cooking site but I don't remember seeing this one! Thanks!

@sandy: my husband is always complaining that we don't eat enough leeks (wierdo!), so he will love those!

@mediagirl: bacon and cream sauce? Yes please!

@lovehoneybee: that tahini sauce sounds delish!

Thanks everyone!

I made this Shawarma-spiced chicken a few nights ago. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/shawarma-spiced-chicken-pita-with-tahini-yogurt-sauce

I mixed the spices into plain yogurt and let the chicken marinate for about a day. So easy, so good. I made a cucumber and tomato salad with it, and my mom made a pita with it (with tzatziki sauce). I'm usually eating while nursing, and wanted something I could eat with a fork so I just cut up my chicken and dipped it in the tzatziki. Sooo good.

@mediagirl: It is! And it's filling too, whereas risotto on it's own isn't enough for me.

Made this Tuesday night and I have eaten it for lunch Wednesday and today. I didn't mix everything together, though. I put the pasta on a plate, added chicken and broccoli to mine and hubs, then sauce, then bacon. For LO, I put chicken, bacon, broccoli and pasta around her plate. She didn't want the sauce.

Oh and I used a mix of whole and skim milk and it worked out just fine. No cream needed.

@lamariniere: this recipe is also sooooo good! The lemon creme sauce is perfection! I like to use cannellini beans and prefer them over the butter beans. Sooooo good!

@lamariniere: this is my favorite recipe of the year - so easy and so yummy! I use 2-3 leeks depending on the size and also add some sliced crimini mushrooms and sliced zucchini. I put it all in a large rimmed baking dish so that there is maximum roasting surface area. Use a really good sourdough loaf. The roasted lemons burst while cooking and it is so yummy! And the roasted leeks are so good!

This is a new favorite: http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2012/05/bacon-egg-and-leek-risotto/
Except I don't cook risotto on the stovetop anymore, I do it in the oven and it's life-changing! (as life-changing as risotto can be!). 1.5 cups risotto w/4 cups stock in a dutch oven at 350 for 45 minutes and it's done, no stirring.

I made this lentil recipe last night and it was so easy and delicious! Admittedly, the kids turned their noses up at it, but at least they tried it.
