my DH hasn't traveled for work since #2 arrived (8 months ago), so i'm thankful in that respect... BUT, he usually comes home in the middle of dinner or after it so I'm often alone at dinnertime. oh and lunchtime too twice a week when my older DD is off from school. it does suck, but i've gotten used to it and i have good and bad days. at least your little one loves solids! mine doesn't... although i try not to stress too much about when my kids are picky because they do come around some days....

i'm just SO glad we are one day closer to the weekend right now!

This is why I am scared of having more than one because I would be doing everything by myself M-F. Seems so hard!!

Glad your DH is home soon!!

@banana: They're 23 months apart. DS is 2 years 7 months and DD is 8 months.

@chopsuey119: Thanks. I have so much respect for single parents with young children. I don't know how they do it.

DH has been away this week (coming back tonight!) so I've been holding down the fort on my own. Now that my younger one is on solids, it is super duper hard to feed two LOs at the same time. They need to be fed the same time because if one sees the other eating, they'll want something as well.
DS is so picky with food these days. When DH is around, one of us ends up spoon feeding him to get him to eat. so I try to prepare something that has a higher probability of him eating on his own. But I still have to constantly to tell him to eat or at least stay at the table. Meanwhile, DD, the younger one, loves her solids so if there's not a constant flow of food, she'll get cranky and whine.
Sometimes they'll both be whining because DD wants more food while DS doesn't want to eat anymore. It's just craziness.
