@catgirl: she is forward facing, but her car seat is super girly and she would be so mad if I gave it to her brother, she loves it!!

We have the Diono and it is super comfortable, slim, and safe. We never remove it from our car though - we have a lighter quicker install seat in our second vehicle that we remove if needed. It's definitely not a quick install.

@Mrs. Yoyo: The new britax convertibles, especially the click tight seats, have much higher height limits than the old models. They are better than Diono for tall kids at this point.

So if you want ease of use as far as installation goes, go for the Click Tight. We have a Frontier with it now and it's great. The Radian is a beast to install. But I do like the Diono for accommodating taller kids and not feeling like you have to "heave" them into a seat.

FWIW, we actually got the Diono after having a Marathon, because it wasn't good for a tall kid for extended RF. But I think they may have made the shell bigger now? Or that might not be a concern for you.

We have a britax Boulevard click tight. We looked at the diono, but DH didn't like the safety rating on it.

We have a diono and a britax boulevard ( not clicktight but we do have a pioneer clicktight for DD). I don't care for the diono. It was for DHs car but now sits as our extra. I never felt like the install was correct and although it is slim it needs a lot of space rearfacing. And it is heavy! I much prefer britax products out of the 2 options.

We have both. What ages are you considering it for. My answer depends on that.

Is your daughter rear or forward facing? If she is forward facing I would pass her seat down and buy a combination seat for her. If she is rear facing then just ignore.

I would personally skip the Diono. It doesn't really make a usable booster and is incompatible forward facing in a lot of cars. If you are considering it because it is slim there are other slim options.

We actually have and use both of these carseats. We have our older one (2.5 years) in the Diono and the younger one (1 year) in the Britax Clicktight. We have to use an angle adjuster for the Diono because of our small car (a Honda Fit) and because we still have both of our kids rearward facing. The angle adjuster worries me, sometimes, but other than that we love the Diono. It's much slimmer and doesn't have side protections, but when we turn his to a forward facing, we plan to put him in the middle seat to improve the safety. The nice thing about the Diono is that the seat folds up if you need to take it with you somewhere, but it is HEAVY. I think it's heavier than the Britax. Bottom line is that we like both, but the Diono was a must for us given the limited space in our tiny car.

Has anyone used both?

We currently have an advocate click tight for our daughter and I love the ease of install, but it is super bulky.

We're getting a new seat for DS and would love any insight from those who have used both and what you prefer and why.
