So an update on how M did yesterday (she's 33 months) great during the first half, the show kept her attention and then intermission hit and she was definitely loosing interest. It helped they we were in a suite so she was able to play and good around. She loved the princesses and of course she got a sparkly wand, made her day

@T-Mom: Oh, great tip. My DS just turned 3 and is sensitive to noise as well as crowds, this isn't really our thing anyway but it would be nice to do some sort of live show someday...

@lavender: Make sure you're booking for a show in English! A friend at work just went to a Disney on Ice show in Spanish - they don't speak Spanish and she had no idea she was buying tix for the performance en espanol. She said her husband was furious :) But her 3 yr old still had a blast!

We just took L at 19 months, and he was totally enthralled! Like @PrincessBaby, we were in the front row and that definitely really helped, although obviously if you already have your tickets that's not really possible. We got there early and walked around with him a ton before the show started to try to get some of his energy out. He was really good and fascinated throughout the entire first half. During the second half he got a bit antsy and we bought some popcorn, which was an excellent distracton!

I took J when he was a year, at 2 and again just last night. He turned 3 this week.
He loves it! I feel like they change it up enough to keep a LOs attention. :) have fun!

If your child is sensitive to noise in any way, maybe bring some ear plugs. My DD hated it (and she was 4 at the time) because it was so loud.

I haven't been, but have a major arena in my neighborhood and noticed that lots of kids went to Frozen on Ice in costume. :)

We went last year when Chloe was 29 months and she loved it! I was surprised that she sat through the whole show.

I took snacks and her sippy cup, and a warm, thin blanket with us. She was a bit nervous and never took off her coat and sat in my moms lap the whole time, but was absolutely mesmerized and captivated.

We treated her to a few stuffed dolls afterward. I was surprised that they were reasonably priced, and they took credit cards.

We had gone through preschool and had group rates, and I was shocked that we had amazing seats. Maybe 5 or 6 rows back from the ice.

My 22 mos old at the time did pretty fantastic, just started getting restless toward the end but I just let her have her favorite snacks (Amy's gummies) and she was fine.

One thing that really helped was that we were front row, so she was literally inches away from the show and the characters kept skating by and stopping and dancing right in front of her and paying attention to her. I had sprung for the front row just for that reason, in hopes of it holding her attention better, and it was really worth it..

Also be prepared for lots of toy booths all at toddler eye-level. I got roped into a couple of pricey toys, but that also kept her entertained. Every kid there had the same light up spinning wand and they all had them running in the show since it was dimly lit. That helped keep her "into it."
