@Miss Ariel: Yes! Even after DH "seated" DD he still held on to her because she was so tiny and flying everywhere inside the ladybug! She did love the ride though. :silly:

@Mrs. Cheesecake: that's the exact ride I was thinking of in my response. I couldn't believe they needed dd to sit on her own, especially considering how fast it seemed.

@SKINNYCOW: certain rides they can ride in a carrier, but dumbo specifically they need to be next to you but you could fit all three of you in there! If I remember correctly, many/most rides you can go on with a baby, you'd be able to fit all 3 of you on one car.

@SKINNYCOW: From what I remember LOs "sit next to you" because they aren't supposed to be lap riding on some of the rides. When LO rode the spinning ladybug ride she was at first on my DH's lap but then the ride operator said that she needed to "sit" next to him. He still held on to her but she was sitting next to him rather than on his lap. I hope that makes sense!

@Miss Ariel: @birdofafeather: @Mrs. Cheesecake: @yoursilverlining: Thanks! On the rides with two person cars (like Dumbo) would she be allowed to just ride on one of our laps? Or one of us would ride with her and the other separate?

We took LO at 14 months and she was less fearful than at later ages. We were able to ride Pirates twice while she slept in the Tula!

We didn't have a stroller, I just wore LO and she slept at will

She really liked the Winnie the Pooh ride

We went to DL and CAdventure when the kids were 3.5 and 1.5. The older one was more likely to get scared during the dark rides while the younger one just looked around. They loved the carousel and train, but really loved CAdventure. I think its a lot more toddler friendly. They loved the Bugs Land rides, running around Radiator Springs and playing the carnival games at Paradise Pier. When they got tired they would nap in the double stroller. I would recommend getting there as early as possible so you can ride the most popular rides first without too much of a wait.

At that age, my girls didn't care at all about the scariness of a certain ride. You can go on a lot of things with them too! We brought a carrier and they either napped in there or napped in the stroller. I would just do whatever you and DH want as your kiddo will love it all!

I did Disneyland wirth dd at 9 months, technically California Adventure. She did nap in the stroller which is when I rode California Screaming while my dad watched he. Besides that she went on everything we did, even the teacup type ride, which if I had known how fast it was likely would have skipped.

DH and DD (13 months) will be joining me on a work trip to LA next month and we're planning to spend a day at Disneyland. What rides have your toddlers enjoyed? I know she'll be okay on Dumbo, Small World, etc. but what about the dark/slow rides like Alice in Wonderland/Snow White? She doesn't seem to scare easily, if that helps.

How did you handle naps? Just let them nap in the stroller?
