Totally doable! There are ride swaps so you can each go on rides with the 4 year old. One stays with the baby, you get a pass, go in with the bigger kid and then swap and the big kid gets to ride twice (not every ride has it but you can find info on Magic Kingdom Mamas blog). Carrier, double stroller, snacks and water and you’re good! DH and i even got some day date times a couple times when both of our kids passed out at the same time. So we grabbed a treat and walked around with them in the stroller. We went at newborn/3, 1/4, and had passes the year i was pregnant with our 3rd-her being born/2/5.

@CatchAFallingStar: We had Disneyland passes for two years and I took my two boys by myself, no husband even, all the time (ages 23 mo & 4.5 - 4 & 6.5). Most of the rides we could sit 3 across. I would let my younger skip naps that day and just try to last as long as we could. It got a little wild around dinner, but after we ate they got a short second wind. I would also always change them into PJs in the parking lot because they would fall asleep in the car immediately.

I go frequently with my husband and 2 daughters (2.5yo and 10mo) my first daughter has probably been over 20 times and my second at least 7. No help. Extremely do-able. I’m actually thinking about taking both kids by myself next month

My kids are the same ages as yours and we just did DL over Christmas just me and my DH. It wasn’t a problem at all though we had zero expectations to do any adult rides so that could be different for you.

I’m not sure when Star Wars cantina is opening so that would be the bigger issue I’d foresee. We went at the busiest time of year and that’s not open yet. I’m guessignaround when it opens will be have same busy factor as the holiday season and that aspect was slightly miserable.

This was like our first trip to Disneyland - DD was 4 and DS was 9 months. My husband and I did it and we had a blast. I carried DS in the Tula (and that's where he napped) and we had the stroller for DD. She didn't need it much though and ended up not napping because it was all too exciting. I packed us some snacks and a lunch so we could eat while in line. Then, we bought some treats and dinner. The whole day went smoothly. I recommend going to see the Rapunzel or Beauty and the Beast show in the afternoon because it gives you some nice fun, while sitting down. :)

@CatchAFallingStar: We just got back from a trip with a 4 yr old and 20 month old and had a great time. We did travel with another family (2 adults and their 3 year old) so there were more adults than man-to-man. But we had a great time and I think would have done fine if it had been just us. One important note though is we didn't do any of the grown up rides so there wasn't any need for taking turns or anything with that.

ETA: Our 4 year old is done with naps and our 1 year old is an awesome stroller/on-the-go napper. It probably wouldn't have worked as well if that wasn't the case.

I mean I planned the crap out of it...see prior disney posts. But it was great and easier than we anticipated...so much so that we were already planning to go back before we left

Eta sorry I read disney world....instead of disney land....not sure if that negates my experience

Would it be crazy to take our two girls to Disneyland without extra help? My mom offered to come and help with 1YO, but DH thinks that’s a bad idea. (She can get on our nerves pretty quickly)

Would love to hear your experiences!
