Totally, starting at about four months. If I talk to DH she pops off and either glares up at me as if I DARE talk while she nurses, or looks at me amused like "really mum? You're doing this again?". She loves flipping over to watch the TV too so I have to turn that off, then she grabs fistfulls of my hair (drives me nuts) or of my top or whatever she can grab. Sometimes she wacks her arm back and forth and boots me with her feet under my chin, ha ha. Where has my sweet, contented little nurser gone? My favourite is the bedtime nursing session though, then she just wants to curl up with her mummy.

LOL! your post made me laugh, and yes, LO does this constantly. My dh and I can't talk at all, the tv can't be on, and she won't even let me look at my phone! Its hilarious. even if my husband sneezes or coughs she goes crazy and loses focus. She usually feeds best when she is sleepy- either right when she gets up from nap or right before she goes down. Also, I found that if I hum something, it helps her focus on the task at hand- aka feeding off mommy!

Yep! Sometimes I have to resort to bottle, sometimes I just end the session. He's more of a snacker anyways (short & frequent). If he's *really* hungry he settles down & eats.

Yup! I think this is a major part of the sleep regression we've been dealing with as well, because he isn't eating well durin the night.

Yep, it started around 4 months. It has to be nice and quiet to get him to concentrate on nursing now. I've found nursing him in side lying position with white noise on helps.

@Beehive: I now have to turn my screen brightness way down too otherwise, he's attracted to the light.

Yep. I can't talk to anyone and this afternoon he'd pop off and stare at me if I even stopped to look at my phone!! Goofy baby.

Yes, DH has had to banish himself to the study whenever J is eating, or he will stop eating and follow DH across the room with his head and smile at him. Sometimes J will even stop eating and turn his head to the laptop screen I'm looking at while feeding him - I've had to start turning the screen brightness way down!

Definitely. The only time he really focuses on nursing is at night in the nursery with only his night-light on. He's just so interested in the rest of the world that he doesn't focus at all when we're anywhere else. And he's never let me use a nursing cover...he immediately pulled it off, so I stopped bothering--don't blame him, I'd be annoyed if I was covered up when I was trying to eat!

Yep, any sound movement and Nosy McNoserson is off the boob looking around. I don't even think a cover would help at this point she would just push it out of the way!

Omg, anything - sound or sight- will distract H from nursing. We basically have to sit in darkness and silence. If I talk at all, she'll pop off and stare at me wide-eyed, like, "Are you talking to ME, Mommy?!?" Haha...This new thing isn't handy when I can't nurse her in silence/darkness, and she screams her face off but won't nurse- gah!

Is your LO Distraction Jackson?
