I am a single mom co-parenting with my ex. Not easy at all, especially with the back story.

@cmomma17: Very similar situation to you! My DH has three kids from a previous marriage (2 girls, 1 boy) and we have a 3 1/2 month old daughter together. His kids also live out of state, but he flies to see them often and they come stay with us during school breaks. They love their little sister :)

I am not a divorced or coparenting, but my parents divorced when I was 11. They coparented me until my father died last year. I always like to tell people that I had a really unhappy childhood - until my parents got divorced. Then they both repartnered, my family expanded, and I split my time between them. Their miserable marriage was awful to live with, and I really commend anyone who makes the hard choice to end an unhappy partnership. Your children will likely be far happier with happier parents.

Step mom here to two great kids. DH and I just had a daughter together a little over three months ago. We see the step kids every other weekend, and they love their little sister. Their mom is also remarried, so they have an older stepbrother as well.

Communication, unfortunately, is not great between DH and his ex. Lots of hurt feelings, trying to cut bio parents out, etc.

Thank you, Mr. Bee, for creating this board. I’m currently struggling to get along with my ex-husband for the sake of our 3 year old son. I had hoped for a friendly and mutually respectful co-parenting relationship, but so far his anger and bitterness at me has prevented that from happening. I am hopeful that time really does heal all wounds and that this co-parenting thing gets easier! I also hope things improve before my son becomes aware of the tension and animosity.

Come out come out wherever you are! :)

Since @mrbee created this new board, It thought it would be great to see who was out there!

I'm a new mommy to a 7 month old LO (my first). However, DH is divorced and had 2 kids in that marriage. So I have a stepdaughter and stepson. They live in a different state though, which makes some things easier and some things harder!
