Pretty sure this is normal. I've had this from about week nine on, I still get dizzy and nauseated if I am on my feet too long, like at the grocery store. I have to sit down and rest every once in a while.

Sounds like vertigo, do you have an ear infection or anything that might cause that?

Thanks for the reassurance, I was just really nervous because it's happened a few times now, including during church. We're Catholic and were standing during the consecration of the bread and wine, when I felt really dizzy. I sat down (to the horror of my husband) and then took a brisk walk through the middle aisle of the church (to my horror) and got sick in the nearest restroom.

I had this happen a few times during pregnancy. I couldn't really tell what brought it on, but I definitely felt like I was going to faint. I think I remember reading that it's pretty common due to changes in blood volume and blood pressure during pregnancy.

I think I remember a few cases of this, but you could call your Dr. tomorrow just to ease your mind.

I got very dizzy in the beginning of my second trimester. I remember being about 16 weeks and we were waiting to be seated at a restaurant - after about 10 minutes of standing I had to ask the hostess if I could sit down anywhere until our table was ready or else I would have passed out. This happened again at my husband's holiday work party a couple weeks later. Basically I just had to make sure I had snacks and a bottle of water on me at all times. It went away probably around 19 or 20 weeks. I've heard the reason is since your baby is taking extra resources, your body is just trying to keep up with pumping extra blood!

I've been trying to find some answers on google but I'm not having much luck. I have a dr appt on Thursday and plan to ask about this then, but in the meantime wanted to see if you ladies had any experience with this...

I'm 18.5 weeks pregnant and for the past week or so I've noticed that if I stand for awhile, I get kind of dizzy and if I don't sit, I wind up throwing up. I don't know what's causing this, it's not as though I'm overexerting myself while standing (I'm usually just standing, not sweeping or mopping or anything like that).

Any thoughts? I'm kinda worried.
