@blackbird: ugh, basically nothing. I felt gross even after eating dinner, but I took a short nap and felt better. The doctor never even called me back. I sent an email to the office and their reply said I should check my BP.

Today I felt ok except for a pretty bad headache this evening. My mom thinks I have a virus of some kind, but I have none of the other typical symptoms. I'm taking tomorrow off anyway, maybe that will help.

@macintosh: This happens to me! It's scary. When I sit down, drink water and have a snack it will go away. I also found out my iron levels were really low, so that makes me a little off too. If you haven't had your glucose test yet, be careful with the low blood sugar... I almost fainted and had to lay down in the lab! Good luck! :)

@macintosh: I think it could be the belt... I've had this problem with some maternity clothes that are tight, especially if they were high enough that they kept me from breathing deeply. But it's more likely blood sugar... lots of snacks should help.

In any case, hope you feel better soon!

Ate dinner and I still feel weird. Dr. hasn't called yet - it's been 2 hours. Good thing it's not serious :meh:

I just got home and measured my BP - 134/73. It's a little high. My normal readings are about 115/60. Now I'm worried about preeclampsia. No call back from the doc yet.

I experience it quite often. Its due to low blood pressure and sometimes I feel faint. I usually have to take a few secs and lay down with my feet elevated. It always helps. Also keep a snack and water with you.

My OB is at a large hospital system so I called and had the Dr. on call paged. I hope I'm not overreacting. It's also really freakin' hot in this school!

Still feeling awful here. Paranoid pregnant lady question: I bought a support belt at Motherhood Maternity today for my pelvic pain. This couldn't be somehow restricting blood flow and causing dizziness, could it? I have adjusted it so it's not too tight.

Oh boy...I may try to leave this meeting early :bummed:

Thanks for listening!

Thanks everyone, now I don't feel so worried! I wondered about blood sugar but I didn't think about blood pressure. I normally have really good blood pressure, so I imagine it could be low.

I could be dehydrated - I am having a hard time drinking enough water cause it still makes me a little nauseous to drink flat water. I have a BP machine at home - I'd be interested to know what mine is right now.

Agreed it sounds like low blood sugar, usually some sugar helps get over it. But if continues, watch your blood pressure, I always had "good" BP in the offices but toward the end of my first pregnancy it would all of a sudden spike causing me to get dizzy and see spots/feel faint. I had to monitor it and keep a tester in my car. It would always come down but it was scary.

This happened to me more than once! The first time, I was at work (at a hospital) and got my blood pressure taken and it was really low. I was probably dehydrated. Definitely make sure you're drinking lots of water!!

ETA: it started happening around the same time (24 weeks I think)!

I have! A girlfriend of mine passed out from it a few times. Low blood sugar....but if it keeps up, ask your doc. A soda and a snack usually perked me up. I got it more earlier on than now but do I ever feel weird if mine drops!

Boy am I feeling weird! I was driving to a school for a work appointment and I suddenly started feeling nauseous, dizzy, shaky, and lightheaded. Weird, right? I had eaten about 2 hours earlier and it didn't feel like the nausea I had earlier in pregnancy.

When I arrived at the school my coworker said I looked pale, eek! I have been here over an hour and I have had a snack and sat down but I still feel lightheaded and shaky.

Did this happen to anyone else? I'm 25 weeks tomorrow and I've never had this before.
