Crazy! Ever since that series I've been hooked on genealogy. Because we're Jewish, my OB suggested I do it before TTC. But their "way" was $300/person and didn't have nearly as much info as 23 &amp; Me. I think the info we got is very useful, and I was able to find out that DH also has MTHFR through it. He was something like 30% African admixture, right? His heritage was mostly Irish if I remember. I think the test that does African admixture best is one of the more expensive ones. 23 and me is like $99, I think.</p> <p>We're definitely going to do one for M so she can get a better read on her African heritage. I became interested in testing after watching African American Lives on PBS with Henry Gates and he took a DNA test and found out that he had more European DNA than African. I think it he had double the amount of European DNA.
