So they'll try and redirect her constantly and give her different toys even though she was perfectly happy with the toys she was playing with and want to pick her up and carry her places. We taught DD to tell him "No!" very loudly and to walk away; for a long time she would just sit down and cry when he became too overwhleming. Every time he sees Charlie, he starts running towards him to give him a hug. It was sweet at first, but now even *I* feel smothered.</p> <p>I've been teaching Charlie little sayings like, "stop it" and "no means no!" This kid just doesn't care though... he goes for the hug every time. I feel bad for him, but I feel worse for Charlie! Sometimes he starts crying when the other boy starts clinging to him...</p> <p>Do any other kids ever give your LO unwanted attention? </p>
