There are two girls at church who LOVE DD and have to often be redirected that they should give her some space and not pick her up (she's actually pretty good about letting someone know she doesn't want to be hugged/picked up). There is also one boy at daycare who is very verbal about wanting DD to sit near him but then he is that way with everyone and it is just verbal attention not physical.

Haha, my daughter is the friendly one who scares other kids! No hugs though, she's not a touchy kid.

Yes, her step-sisters are super clingy. I know it's because they're not around her all the time, but when they are it's annoying to her. They get right in her face and swirch her toys, she cries!!

I'm trying to teach them all boundaries but it's nit working so well..

That sounds like a tough and annoying problem! Sorry you and Charlie are having to deal with that.

Haha, I would have to go and hide and giggle if I heard a little kid saying 'No means No' to another kid, very cute.

We just joined a pool and baby is little but super social so it seems like 5-7 year old girls like LO but they are super bossy. So they'll try and redirect her constantly and give her different toys even though she was perfectly happy with the toys she was playing with and want to pick her up and carry her places. They don't seem to understand that when she shrieks as they take away her toy that it's not a good thing.

Yes, I mentioned in your other thread how a boy at DD's daycare is very physically affectionate with her. We taught DD to tell him "No!" very loudly and to walk away; for a long time she would just sit down and cry when he became too overwhleming. Her daycare provider also monitors him and redirects him when DD starts to get frustrated.

There's a boy at Charlie's daycare that is a stage 5 clinger. Every time he sees Charlie, he starts running towards him to give him a hug. It was sweet at first, but now even *I* feel smothered.

I've been teaching Charlie little sayings like, "stop it" and "no means no!" This kid just doesn't care though... he goes for the hug every time. I feel bad for him, but I feel worse for Charlie! Sometimes he starts crying when the other boy starts clinging to him...
