Cheese is good because the fats hold you over through the night. Have the cheese and some carbs and it should hold you over better.

The midwives actually encouraged me to set up midnight snacks before going to bed the night before. As soon as my milk came in I was waking up each morning with low blood sugar shakes, so have been making sure I am fueling up at least two feeds a night.

I like a peanut butter sandwhich or some almonds to help hold me over, but you can definitely find me in the kitchen at 4am.

I did the same thing. :) I'm still bf'ing but not as crazy hungry these days, as long as I eat well during the day. As for alternatives, sometimes I would have banana or avocado on toast instead, but usually cereal. It's just easy!

I'm a bf-ing mommy and if I don't eat something before bed I always wake up hungry. So since I was pregnant I've been eating lots of cereal and haven't been able to kick the cereal habit yet! I always have to have a bowl before bed. What's a healthier choice to keep me full through the night??
