Yes they always made me feel out of breathe like they were squeezing my lungs. That’s how I usually noticed them and then I’d feel my belly and it’d be a rock.

I had a ton with my son and some with DD too, and sometimes they would make me feel a little out of breath, almost like I had to hold my breath through the tightening of them if that makes sense! I am a teacher too, and although I didn’t work up to the end with ds, I did with my daughter. It’s tough being on your feet, so I totally sympathize with you. Hope your kiddos give you some time to sit down!!
ETA: my ob told me not to stress unless I was getting a certain number an hour even after sitting down or if they were coming in a regular pattern!

BH don’t always take my breath away, but they do every now and then.

I think if it was a “real” contraction there would be no mistaking it! I hate the end of pregnancy when you’re over-thinking every little thing your weird body does :silly: (Currently right there with ya!)

I'd agree that pregnancy in general has me out of breath. Just walking to the office from my car is pretty insane.

For me, BH only affect one quarter or half of my uterus. Maybe it's because the baby is only on one side? But mostly it will harden only where his head or feet are. The upper left side hasn't gotten hard at all. Mostly it's the upper right (where his head is)

I think it sounds normal for pregnancy - i don’t know if any contractions (real or bh) put me out of breath but pregnancy in general definitely can esp as baby puts more pressure on your organs. And then the bh tightening everything up won’t help for sure. I had a billion bh (many painful) with my son and i didn’t even have a standing job! Hugs!

ETA i also think pregnancy #2 is just so much harder on your body so i would expect it to feel a little different than last time.

So I am 33 weeks and I don't really know what contractions feel like because when I had LO1, I just felt like I was in pain the whole time, no starting no stopping. I didn't know if I had BH contractions because I was huge towards the end and everything felt "tight" (the main descriptor I read about BH).

But basically, I am a teacher, so I am on my feet most of the day, and sometimes I feel like I am out of breath or forgetting to breath deeply. It's hard to do so unless I'm sitting down. Yes, my belly feels tight... it usually does. Does this sound like BH?

ETA: There's no pain involved at all. I also don't notice a starting and stopping. Then again, I'm pretty busy with 30+ students all day long...
