Yes! Rotate them when you wash them so they get even wear, that way if one goes missing the backup is of the same vintage

R just got attached to hers. We bought 2 more as back ups. She just gets it for bedtime and naps at home. Day care doesn't allow them.

Thanks ladies!! I think I'll make 3. One for use, one for wash, one if lost!! He's 4.5monrhs so I think it's a good time to introduce it when breastfeeding :-) if only my boobs were detachable!! Haha

@scg00387: Umm... girlfriend will reach and cruise all around her crib to get at her lovey in the crib. She usually pulls it out on her own. And she has been known to pull it out of the laundry basket if she sees even a tiny hint of the lovey! lol

I finally gave up - sometimes she has one lovey in each room so I don't have to worry there is one in the crib when we need it!

@shopaholic: you're such a nice mama; we restrict blankie to his crib unless he is sick! Lately he asks "up", goes in his crib, drops his blankie out, and asks to go "up" aka out again. Trickster.

Yes. I would say yes! We have 5 of the same loveys and glad for it! Now that she is crawling, she'll drag the lovey around with her on the floor, and wants to rub it in her face during sleep, or chew on it - so she gets a fresh one all the time.

Our nephew's "lovey" is a stuffed animal that is basically no longer stuffed. lol and my SIL is scared to wash it because it's going to fall apart eventually. She says she should have gotten at least another one. Hard thing is to know for sure which one they'll take to being their lovey.

ETA: I introduced the same lovey ~ 3months and used to for every feeding before naps and bedtime. She became attached to it around 7 months I think?

@Mrs squirreld: I have 6 blankies... I'd make at least one spare! My LO lovessss his blankie and if he snots/drools milk etc on it I need at least one back up. It took him a month maybe to get attached but its a definite must for Bed time (introduced around 5 months and now 14m)

I'm making a owl lovey to start introducing to LO as he seems to be comfort nursing ALOT...but someone said to me I need a duplicate if not a triplicate!!!! I better get sewing then!
Will he get that attached that it needs an identical twin if something were to happen to owl lovey the 1st?

What's your experience with a lovey?
