I haven't gotten swollen at all (actually the opposite; my wedding ring has gotten LOOSE on me - weird) and the only time my balance feels off is when I stand up from sitting/laying down. Towards the end, none of mine zipped and some where plain uncomfortable because of the heel height. If I had to buy a pair of boots to get through a winter pregnancy, I might be tempted to buy a pair of mid length Uggs.
