My grandmother had 10 kids! I have three and can't even fathom 10. I couldn't imagine not having my boys but they sure are a lot of work. Twins are not double the work they are at last triple the work! We think I was supposed to have been a twin. I love twins and said I wanted them until our U/S and I found myself PRAYING for just one!!!!! It's a lot.</p> <p>My aunt has a 4 year old daughter and due to complications from her pregnancy became unable to conceive again "naturally." So they did IVF and had twin boys, who will be 2 in May. How she handled that (and how she handles them now!) is insane to me. She's so calm! It takes a special person.</p> <p>But brace yourself... because the doctors were WRONG... and she's due 4/3 with her FOURTH child. Yep she'll have a 4 year old, twin 1 year olds, and a newborn. And those boys are crazyyyyy. My grandma and her doctor at the time, thinks my aunt was a twin, but one passed, since she had bleeding like a miscarriage. My cousin has triplets but she used fertility treatments.<br /> DH says that twins are in his family too, but I am not sure how. </p> <p>We just have one on the way. At least we think they are identical. We never had any testing done, but they did share a placenta (I know its possible for fraternal twins' placentas to fuse together looking like one). </p> <p>As much "work" as it is being a mama to twins, there is nothing quite like it. They told her after my dad was born that it would be a little while before the other baby was born. She said, wait, WHAT other baby?? Plus she already had two kids and she was 40 years old LOL</p> <p>Everyone expects someone in our family to have twins, since my dad is a twin, but so far no one has.
