Linus was just under 7 lbs at birth and is close to 11 lbs now at 13 weeks. He's 9th percentile for weight and 25th for height, so I think that makes him look even skinnier. I feel so defensive when people say "so small!!", but then the other day someone said he was big and I felt defensive over that too! Silly momma. We get lots of comments about how tiny he is or asking if he was a preemie (he wasn't). I just ignore the naysayers.</p> <p>I think chunky babies are adorable and HEALTHY. Not fat. I really don't think there's such a thing as an overweight breastfed baby, there really isn't. If someone comments on my LO I just say, he is a healthy, thriving little boy and it usually shuts anyone up saying something negative. She is now a little over 5 months and probably a few pounds heavier. Everyone that meets her tells me that she is cute BUT kinda big, chunky, gigantic, thick, fat, fat, fat! I get a lot of questions about what I feed her (breastmilk...straight from the source and pumped) and comments about how their babies were never this big at the same age.
