Now that LO is older everyone knows she's a girl. She always has a bow in her hair and usually has some sort of pink on. Plus she has girly hair now.

When she was a baby she had a mohawk and I think that was the cause of everyone thinking she was a boy. No matter how much pink I put on her she was called a "he." My niece has the same problem. She's bald but was dressed in all pink and a man said to me, "he's a cutey." Babies don't always have hair. It does not make them boys!

Until very recently (he is now over 2) my son was always called a girl no matter how he was dressed. His big blue eyes apparently said "girl" to most everyone.

Not really, but that's only because I haven't really taken DD anywhere yet. I kinda think she looks a little boyish though - she looks EXACTLY like her dad... kinda freaks me out sometimes. She'd better hurry up and get some hair!!

People always mistake my boy for being a girl! He gets called "she" all the time, I can kind of understand because he does have long hair, but he's clearly wearing boy clothes.

People always thought DD was a boy, even when she eas dressed head to toe in pink. It never bothered me much and when she finally grew some hair, around 2, it stopped.

Most people recognize that DS is a boy, but I think that's because he is so big? Usually I get comments about "what a big boy" I have.

LO always gets called a boy...even when she's dressed in "girl" colors like pink and lavender. We've tried headbands but she rips them off. Plus, she has a boy's name so we just gave up.

DS is called a girl while wearing a motorcycle jacket, scally cap and Vans.
He did have longer hair for a while but was always dressed like a boy.

@littlebittyhouse: our LO used to get called "he" a lot, and it drove me crazy! I remember being out at the store once and she was wearing a pink jacket, leopard print shoes, a headband, and had a pink blanket and someone called her a "he". Really?!

We had this problem too. DS had really longer tight tight curly hair and we LOVED it, however he would always get called a girl...even when dressed completely like a boy and I would correct people that he was in fact a boy, they would still say "she". It got really annoying and we finally got him his first hair cut around 22 months. We HATED the hair cut because his curls were gone, but now his hair is growing into a nice curly shag again :) I think people, especially the older generation, equate curls with girls.

I think LO was called a boy once when she was a week and a half old. She was wearing purple and in her pink car seat so I thought it was strange but I didn't correct her. People usually know she's a girl though. A doctor once commented that she doesn't have a ton of hair but that she's a very girly looking baby (some people have suggested it's the eyelashes).

My LO is a boy but ALWAYS gets called a girl! Even when he is dressed in all blue!

I am not a boys in blue/girls in pink type of person but perfect example: We were out the other day he was wearing navy pants, an orange and navy zip up hoodie and a hat with baseballs/basketballs/footballs on it. Someone said "ooooooh look, she is a little sports fan!'

I don't mind and I never correct, I just say thank you! I do think its really funny that he gets called a girl 80% of the time.
