She calmed down right away and was able to fall asleep. It's not like you use a shot of liquor. Definitely not enough to do any harm. If you put a drop on your finger and rubbed the baby's gums, it wouldn't do any harm, but I don't really know how beneficial it would be. I imagine a baby wouldn't love the taste either! My dad said when I was a baby he asked my doctor about this, and the doctor went off on him and acted like he should be reported to child services.
