We just got over a nasty cough and the answer is DEFINITELY. More screen time and juice (diluted). They can also stay in their jammies all day and I will bring them things if they (politely) ask for them when normally they would be expected to get it themselves. LO1 is also excused from feeding the dog.

The only rule that changes is the food and drink rule. When DS is sick I'll take anything I can get. For example, if that means only drinking apple juice all day and only eating apples, I'll take it!

I'd allow more screen time since you can't do much else when sick. And ice cream for a sore throat.

When LO is really sick he definitely just wants to lay around and watch TV or read books so I give in to that. He's so high energy usually that I always know when he's not feeling good cause he gets all snuggly and lazy. Poor kids! Everything else stays the same routine wise, except we might skip bath time if he is feverish or achey.

Depends on the sickness. A cold, not much changes. Stomach bug? Everything changes. Then I don't even offer food, I let them have pedialyte pops if they wants, and the oldest can play Ipad or watch shows as long as she's resting.

She just had her second run in with the tummy bug last Friday and all morning, she just watched shows and played Ipad. After nap time, she felt well enough to get up and paint, do puzzles, etc.

We do more screen time, and I push more fluids. I'm more likely to give her watered down juice if it means she'll drink more. And I try to offer more cuddles. But we stick to normal meals and routines.

Yup- if she's sick enough to be home from daycare, we stay in jammies and have more screen time, meals are usually much less balanced, and if she's really sick and is having trouble napping, I'll rock her to sleep.

He gets way more cartoons and more snacks vs meals when he's sick. Usually he doesn't have much appetite anyway.

Rules still apply but I'm more lenient in letting him do what he wants.

He gets to have white Gatorade when he's sick and basically anything he can manage to eat (which is usually McDonald's fries??) He also gets popsicles and a lot more screentime on the couch with mama for snuggles. But we stick to his nap schedule and bedtime - he usually needs even more rest anyway.

Some of them. She's only one, so she's still allowed to be as rude as she wants. :) We still stick to her bedtime/wake/nap schedule very closely, and we don't do screen time (that's reserved for planes and long car trips only) but lately she has been asking to eat her meals sitting on my or DH's lap, and we'll allow that occasionally when she's really feeling crummy. And we basically let her eat whatever she wants, since we're typically just trying to keep her fed and hydrated.

As far as feeding, screentime and overall responsibilities?

My kids can eat whatever for the most part, watch as much screen time as they want and I'll cater to them a lot more than normal, obviously. The only thing I don't let slide is behavior, not using manners or being rude.
