Totally normal. It really does get better. Now at 6.5 months we can easily have a 3-4 hour outing without a feeding.

Normal! Also, it all depends on how much your baby's stomach can hold, how fast she digests the milk, and how much milk your boobs can store! There's just so many variables! Hopefully she starts going longer stretches for you soon!! <3

Normal! I would say my DS nursed even more than your DD. He was every 90 minutes around the clock for at least the first three months.

This is K. She eats roughly every hour during the day, with a few 1.5-2 hour naps and a 3hr stretch at night. I'm thinking its more common than we are lead to believe! And soon it will be over...so I'm *trying* to enjoy it!

@lawbee11: :( my DH says all the time she doesn't like him. It makes me feel so sad. It'll all change when our girls aren't attached to the boob. The guys must feel helpless though.

Sounds normal to me especially since your LO does longer stretches at night and is maybe bulking up on calories during waking times. My LO would nurse almost every 2 hours (3 hours at night with no longer stretches) until 4 or 5 months. Every baby is different and your LO knows what they need for food and comfort!

@delight: some of the best advice I got when pregnant was "Even if you think she can't possibly be hungry, she probably is so try." I think of that every time I feed her half an hour after I finished the last one.

Don't worry! My LO does this too! The last week I've been getting a 3 hour nap in the afternoon and the rest of the day frequent nursings with a few cat naps. She's been on my boob for the last 3 hours. DH will have her for a short while after I feed her then she starts crying. I always think she can't possibly be hungry, she just ate! But no, she's ready to go again!

My daughter was a frequent nurser, especially at that age. I'd say she ate anywhere from every 45 minutes to every 1 1/2 hours. Now that she's almost 6 months we have 3-4 hours in between.

I'm glad you asked this- C is 8 weeks tomorrow and eats about every two hours if she is awake, every hour in the evenings. And that's from start to start. But she usually has at least a five hour stretch of sleep at night, and on a couple of occasions STTN. So the evening cluster feeding is fine with me for now.
