Well I was doing the thermometer wrong and it seems like she only has 100.2. My husband did it 3 times. Ha. And she is begging to go out. So I think we’re just going to take a walk around the block to look at decorations before it gets crowded. Hopefully it’s all ok!

I'd skip. Sorry, mama. I hate missing out. Maybe you and daddy can take turns staying with baby while the other goes out to the block party.

@KT326: yeah the fever was my concern too. Thanks! Totally true that staying home for a cough would mean never going out.

I would, just because of the fever. A fever usually means an active infection. When my kids get coughs they can last forever, if I stayed in just because of a cough we would never go anywhere! But we always stay home with a fever.

Pretty sure I know that the answer is yes, but...
My 20 month old has had a cough mostly at night for a couple of days but today it seems worse and she has a fever of 101 which I noticed after she got back from the park with her nanny. She’s been happy and playful all day but I still think we need to skip the Halloween block party, right? I don’t want her to get worse or infect others. Obviously she’s too little to care about Halloween but for some reason I’m sad about skipping it!

What would you do?
